Teeth???

Today a couple big things happened.  Earlier I said that we had PT and OT and I was hoping that we got dismissed from there and we did!  We graduated again from another thing!!  The boys were having no issues that PT/OT thought they needed to come back for. But of course if we had questions to let them know.

Later in the day we went out to a couple stores and Landon was smiling and I was like holy cow you got a tooth!  I said when did that happen I swear a couple hours before I felt and no teeth yet, but sure enough by night time there was one on the bottom.  Tristan don't have any yet.  As Tristan acted like one might be coming in we will see.  That's all, just a short post but wanted to let you know about the TOOTH...big deal!

Here is a video of the boys at first they were talking up a storm to each other but of course when I got out the camera they stopped.  But if you watch it til the end they start laughing at each other.  Tristan is bitting on his had like crazy, must be a tooth coming.

Another Big Week

So again we talk about another milestone for the boys, and yet again I have mixed emotions.  Monday Landon pulled himself up on his bouncer and stood there, Tuesday Tristan did the same thing.  They love to stand up and hold onto our hand or onto things.  They just smile and think they are so cool.  Today, daddy had to lower their cribs too because we have went in many times and they are just sitting up in their beds talking away.  Monday they also went to get weighed and for the first time, they were too big to lay on the scale so they got to sit up :) .  Tristan went first today and he weighed 17 lbs. 4 oz and Landon..... did he pass his brother or get even with him?  Nope, he was 17 lbs. 3 oz.  Isn't it crazy how close they always are?  Landon has not weighed more than his brother Tristan since he was a few days/weeks old.  Not too long back (I believe their 6th month check up) they weighed the exact same.  We go to PT and OT today and hope that we get told that we don't have to come back any more because they are doing so well!  Hope to post pictures soon!

They love to feed themselves now!

Thinking they are soooo funny because they are standing

Long, Quiet Weekend....

This weekend went by a little slower then most because I was alone in my house... just Koda and I.  Jared and the boys packed up yesterday morning and headed to Omaha.  For Mother's Day we gave Jared's mom a great gift - redoing her bathroom.  She was so excited.  We are so excited to do it for her!  So all us kids (mainly the men) decided to gut the whole bathroom.  Well, with that being said it is going to take awhile to get it done.  I had a jewelry show on Saturday night and this weekend worked for everyone so he loaded up the boys and off they went.  I felt bad because with kids/babies someone had to watch them so at times they didn't get as much done as they would have liked, but they made progress.  This will be an ongoing project and include many weekends traveled to Omaha.  The detours and added time doesn't make it much fun for us, but it will be worth it in the end.  The boys love going to see Grandma and Grandpa and their cousins and aunts and uncles.  It is not the easiest to load two pack and plays and two of almost everything, but we love doing it and love seeing the fam!

Family VACATION!!!

So we started our vacation with a trip to Wesley to see family and even got to see our newest addition to the Rosenmeyer Clan.  Then it was onto Ottertail Lake!  There was just a few pit stops, which we would expect with the boys.  Actually, I will admit they were more for mom and dad.  On our way to the lake, we stopped at an outlet mall and I fed the boys while Jared shopped.  Then, we stopped at IKEA in Minneapolis, which was oh soo fun, but it took longer then we expected.  We received a GREAT surprise when we got to IKEA...my friend Maren from college met us there and shopped with us.  It was so great!  It was her first time meeting the boys too!  I told Jared this was such a great vacation on our way up and it hadn't even started.  I got to see almost all my family, meet my new nephew, see a friend I hadn't seen in FOREVER(way too long), and then get to the cabin with Jared's whole family...soo nice!
We love our sunglasses and love each other... they are always so excited to see each other, hope that never changes!

Just like daddy

Well, not too much excitement on vacation.  We did a lot of relaxing and hanging out on the dock and in the water.  We had boat rides, wave runner rides, tube rides, and all the fun water activites.  The boys LOVED the water and loved being outside.  We got a pretty good routine going after the first couple of days.  The boys would wake up and talk, then come lay with mom and dad to wake up.  Then they would eat breakfast, play, nap, play, lunch, nap, outside play and water time, eat, nap, play, eat, sleep!  Yep I know what you are thinking "that is a lot of sleeping" and I agree and felt bad but they love their sleep.

It was a very big day on Friday, July 29th as the Bodie Boys started to crawl!  Yep, both of them, same day, same time.  They were outside on their blanket by the lake and wanted a toy so off they went.  I was so excited, but I know in a few months I will be wishing they would stay put.  We just love hitting new milestones as all parents do.  We hate to see them grow (so quickly), but are so glad they are.  We ended up staying until Sunday and the rest of the family left on Saturday (some in the afternoon and some at night).  Sunday, when the boys were outside they started moving more and more quickly.  Thank goodness they waited until Friday to start crawling or I would have been a lot closer to them when there were outside.
Tomorrow is back to reality!  Though I love my job, the hardest thing will be to not be with my boys (all three of them) all day long!

Reunited and it Feels So Good!

First off, I know it has been a month or so since I have posted last... days just seem to fly by.  I hope to go back and update but not sure anything big happened.  I also hope to add pictures and videos but for now I will write and for all I know, I may be the only one to read it.  If you do read it, feel free to post a comment!

Yesterday we headed to Wesley to see my brother Ryan and his family.  It had been a long time since we last saw them.  They moved to Arizona last fall and we hadn't seen them since PlowFest (Labor Day weekend Sept. 2010).  I was very excited to see how Caden and Mabel had grown and to catch up with Ryan and Danielle.  I was also very excited to introduce our baby boys to them since they had only met through skype:).  It was a great day, with nearly all the Rosenmeyers, but it was way too short.  Our Bodammer family vacation starts today so we could only go home for a day.

too bad a lake wasn't closer and that we couldn't stay longer

Tristan was fighting his nap so finally he feel asleep on daddy and daddy fell asleep too.

Not bad for 10 kiddos!  Missing 6 other grandchildren

My brother Levi is such a dork he put on Tristans' sunglasses, a little small Levi, but you can still rock them!

The kids wanted to help make Mike's birthday cake but really aunt Jill just let them have some batter. Mabel (below) really enjoyed it by the look of her face.  Only a kids once!

We also had another big surprise when we were home.... we were blessed with another baby boy in our family.  Walker Dwight Rosenmeyer was born July 22 in Mason City.  We were so excited that he came while we were home so we could see him.  God has blessed us with a big healthy family that we are very thankful for every day.  Even though we may not live down the street from each other we are very close in each others' hearts.  Thank you God for giving me the family I have and thank you for blessing me with the family I married into.  It is like one big family because we are all so close!

First Family Vacation

Last week we went on our first family vacation, boy was I excited and a little nervous.  First thoughts, how will the boys do on the plane, will they be fussy and we have no where to go adn can't get up, will their ears pop, how will we get all our crap gate checked, etc.  Well, I have to say the boys did AWESOME!  Especially for all the changes and such we had with flying.  Here is our story, Saturday morning we were suppose to fly out of Omaha at 7:00, so I am up at 4:00AM to "make sure" everything is ready to go before we have to wake up boys to put in car seats.  We leave house by 5:00 and get to airport at 5:20AM, so far so good boys are doing great and just awake and looking at us like this is early:).  Then we get to our gate and it says flight delayed til 7:25, we are like ok our connecting flight is at 9:04 we can still make it lets home the gates our close.  In the menatime the guy at Omaha put us on another flight in case we missed it.  So we don't leave Omaha until 8:00 and thinking wow this is going to be interesting, we get into Minneapolis at 8:56 get off the plane and run to D concourse of course we were in A.  Poor boys were in our backpacks in the front and just looked like they were flying but they didn't seem to mind.  We get to our gate at 9:00 and they closed the doors at 8:59, yep missed our flight by 1 minuete.  We were ticked because now we have to get on another flight that goes into Atlanta and than to Fort Myers.  We bought our tickets to only have one connecting flight know the hardest party would be to change planes.  So instead of leaving at 9 we know are leaving at 11:30 and getting into Atlanta at 3:00 and flying out at 4:45.  So we get to our gate and get our seats.  Because of having twins you have to get seats assigned at every gate almost because you can't be in same row have to have airmask and on some planes could be in same row but isle in between other planes not even same row.  Anyways so of course our flight out of Atlanta is delayed and then gate change.  Now are this time boys are a little fussy still doing good though.  We finally get on plane at 6:00.  Now we are hoping we don't miss our FREE shuttle because will cost us $128 for transpartation to our hotel.  Luckily we get in and get the shuttle but we were got in 7 hours later then we were suppose to.  We originially were suppose to get in the fort Myers at 1:24 and then an hour drive to hotel at latest get there by 3.  Anyways, all was great boys doing well until the suttle.  Mom was not prepared with a bottle and it is now bedtime and just done with traveling so they were real fussy but after I got bottle they ate and were asleep.
The week at the resort was awesome.  We spent most of the day outside at the beach or by the pool and found out that the boys love water and floating in their floaties.  Our first day Jared and I got fried at the beach.  We didn't think we need 50 sunscreen so we didn't put any on and our backs got fried.  Wasn't much fun since it was the first day but we had boys protected under umbrella's and sunscreen multiple times a day.  They were such troopers they would sleep in the stroller or on the lounge chairs under umbrellas.  Our last night there we went on a long walk on the beach and the boys slept in the stroller!  It is nice that they just go with the flow...most of the time.  So like any great vacation of relaxing on the beach or by the pool they have to come to an end.
For our trip back home, it can't be worst then the way there right?  Yep it can get ready for this story.  so we fly out of Fort Myers just a few minuetes late becuase of Lghtening but get into Atlanta on time.  Of course in concourse A and have to go to concourse D but by this time we figured out we can use the train:).  We also have to always find the elevators becuase can't use escalators with all our stuff and stroller.  So we get there and again have to get our seat assigned and there was a line of 20 people ahead of me so of course I was worried, are we not going to have a seat.  The lady gets on the intercom and says I just want to remind everyone if your ticket says confirmed you are on this flight if it says standby just sit down and i will call you up.  So I knew we were ok because it said confirmed.  It was 10:20 and we have gotten both boys changed and pj's on ready for the flight Jared had gotten Tristan asleep in his backpack and I was get Landon asleep when the lady gets on the intercom and says, I am sorry to say the flight so and so to Omaha has been CANCELLED, what???  Jared and I look at each other, what?  What does that mean are you serious??  She says I can't help you here but you can go down to customer service and they can get you rebookedrebooking a flight and we think seriously we are going to stand in line for 3 hours or more with the boys.  So the lady at the gate was very nice and helped us.  She said I got you a hotel at the Wyndham and food vouchers, now lets get you on a flight to Omaha.  I said I do not want a connecting flight I just want a direct flight.  There was one at 3:00 AM as we didn't know what we were going to do from now 11 PM til 3:00 but figured we would figure it out.  Well, we couldn't get on that flight it booked then she tried for the 7 am flight and that one booked finally go ton the 3:00 pm flight.  At this point Landon is back awake and Jared and I haven't ate all day so grab something on our way to our free hotel transportation.  We go to the Wyndham van to find out they are sold out, so we didn't have a room there just a voucher for a room.  Now it is midnight and we are standing outside the airport with 300-500 people or more who knows with twin babies and thinking I am the worst mom ever and were are we going to sleep?  After calling many hotels and finding out that there are 3 rooms at the Comfort Inn and Suites we get on their shuttle.  When we arrive there is probably 10 people in line and I think to myself 3 rooms how are we going to have a room.  They guy behind me (army guy) goes and ask if they are going to have enough rooms for all of us?  They said yes we do.  Then this women in from of me comes up to me and says, mam you can go ahead of us.  I declined and said thank you but that is not fair for me to jump the line as you have been here and yep that's when I started to cry.  I was tried felt bad for boys and Jared and this lady was so nice to offer their spot in line.  Anyways by 1:30 we were in a room.  We asked for pack and plays and they didn't think they had anymore but found 2 more one was fine the other one...no bottom.  So we called down to get another one and he brought up another one the exact same way no bottom.    So Jared and I made a bottom with the comforter and put a sheet over it.  By 2:00 am the boys and us were in bed but Jared and I were up often checking on Tristan in the makeshift bottom.
The next day we had to go through security again and such but once we were through and to our gate we set up shop to get boys feed and us some lunch.  We had those vouchers to use and by dangs we were going to use all of them.  So we did!  At last we made it to Omaha at 4 something and Jared's mom was there to pick us up.  We ended up staying in Omaha with his family for a grill out which was really nice.  We were all pretty tired and boys were WAY OVER tired but finally fell asleep.
all in all was a great week on vacation and a great night with family!
