Sitting up!!

Today was another big milestone for the boys...they sat up for a bit:).  We have AEA come out to our house to check on the boys' development for being so early.  The great news I want to share first is that they are doing so well we get to skip the month of July!! yaya!  Anyways we were going through what they should be doing at 6 1/2-7 months and one thing was sitting up.  Normally they go on the adjusted age which at this time would have been 5 months.  So she said are they sitting up alone or with hands in front of them leaned over.  I said no not much but decided to try and see.  Well, the boys said mom you don't say we can't do something and Tristan sat up alone for a few seconds and then again later for longer.  So of course I was cheering and all happy saying, good job Tristan!  Then Landon looked at me like why don't I get cheered for and I tried to see if he could and he DID IT too!  Of course I cheered loud for him too.  They are growing up so fast and doing so well from where we started, we are so blessed.  I love to see them grow but there
are many moments I would like to just push the pause button and watch them at that point for awhile.

Pictures, Pictures, and more Pictures

Today we went and finally got professional pictures done.  We waited until 6 months for a couple reasons as new borns and being in hospital we couldn't and by the time they got out they were too little during flu season to go out...oh and finding the time.  The boys did so great, it was long but the photographer did great and was so nice and good with the boys.  Mom thought she need 3 outfits and one in diapers with hats(so 4 different outfits and many poses.  I will post one picture now and hope to add more later.  Have a great weekend!

While Dad's Away...

On June 8-11, Jared was in Muscatine with the Heelan girls' soccer team.  It was their fifth-straight trip to state and the eighth trip in the 10 years that he has been helping with the program.  His sister-in-law Amy, his mom and the girls made the trip to Sioux City for that stretch of time to assist with the boys as I had basketball camp that week as well.  They were all a big help and Hannah and Allie were so proud that they could hold the boys while they were standing and not just sitting on the couch.  Jared returned on Saturday afternoon after his team lost in the state semifinals and we all just hung out for the next 24 hours or so.
