SPRING is HERE!!!

This past weekend was GREAT!! We didn't have any out of town plans so our main plan was to spring clean inside and out, I have to say Jared did an awesome job outside and he did help me vacuum inside since my back has been bothering me.  I have had some back problems in the past and the weekend before Whoopers and Hoopers, (National tournament weekend) my back was bothering me.  Playing basketball for a whole weekend probably didn't help, but was worth being on the court with my friends again.  I was really sore last week actually could hardly move and has SLOWLY gotten a little bit better.  Saturday with doing all the house work and playing with boys and such it was really sore again Saturday but hopefully with some more rehab and treatment this week it will be getting better.

Friday afternoon we went to visit Kris' new office and then to the museum and the boys enjoyed it.  They loved looking at the animals in there and the trucks.  They are into looking at things and pointing at everything saying "wha dat".  After dad got home we didn't do a whole lot besides hanging outside with the boys, as I said before they love being outside.

Saturday we did some major cleaning and then we had some friends over to grill out before going to the Bandits game (Sioux City's indoor football team).  I am loving this weather we are having, it is absolutely AWESOME!! Boys enjoyed the game and did pretty good considering they go to bed by 8:00 and it was 10 before we left the game.  They would dance when music played and clap when the crowd clapped.  The thing they loved the most were the stairs and climbing up and down them which made mommy and daddy exhausted and mommy's back hurt real bad!  After the game we came back to our house, put the boys to bed and sat around the fire with friends and chatted!  It was so nice out and we love sitting outside with good friends!

The boys are really into Koda's food bowls, I don't know why but if it entertains them I figure what does it hurt.

Sunday we did some more cleaning, mostly Jared because my back was sore and I was in charge of keeping boys out of daddy's way.  We got a lot of the outside stuff cleaned up.  While boys napped I went through all there clothes and packed away there clothes they have outgrown.  That was hard on mommy I would say, "aww remember when they wore this or I can't believe they were that small or they are growing up soo fast.   It was a good project to get done tho.  We brought clothes up for the next sizes which was fun to see the new stuff they will be growing into!  Hoping to get the garage cleaned up this week...lots to throw!

So glad SPRING is here, lately the weather has felt like summer!  Enjoy your week!

Too long...

First off I am sorry for not posting lately but my goal is to go back and get caught up so if you are interested or one of my lovely blog followers just go back and check out what I wrote.  One of my other goals this week and weekend is to get ALL my pictures organized and maybe even get them ordered form the past year, well over do.

This past weekend was a blast!!  It was our annual Whoopers and Hoopers tournament, I know 75% of you just said what did she say?  Whoopers and Hoopers? yes I did!  It is a basketball tournament in Hastings, NE that has been going on since the 80's I believe and it is usually old college teammates or college players that get teams together and hang out and play some good old basketball.  We got in town Friday night and hung out and caught up.  Our old college men's team had a game so we went to that and then to Keno bar and restaurant to hang out.  Saturday we had a game then watched the boys play again and then we played again in the afternoon.  Saturday night is the "big party":).  We always have a good time being silly for a night.  Sunday we played in two games and won our division, which was fun to play again with teammates.  I always look forward to this weekend to catch up, be silly, and play basketball the game we all loved so much and that brought us such close friends.  Since I am a coach I talk about this daily but some of my closest friends still to this day are my college teammates.  They may have been the best player on varsity and played with me or a player on JV that we never played on the court together but we have some of the best memories.  You go through so much with teammates (especially back in our day), you have so many highs and some lows and they are always there for you helping you through them or celebrating with you.  So as every year is great time and I always wish it was more often because it has always been "too long"we enjoy it all.

You may ask where were the boys...well they stayed with grandma and grandpa Bodammer for the weekend.  This was the first time mom and dad left them over night with anyone.  It was hard for both of us but was good to get away for a couple days.  I am sure if bothered us more then them.  Grandma said they did great and that they said grandpa.  As hard as it was to leave them I loved that they got some one on one time with grandma and grandpa and other family without mom or dad there.  They are talking more and more and now trying to run places instead of walk.  They LOVE and when I say love I mean LOVE to be outside.

Tourney time

This past week was a bit crazy with National Tournament here for mommy's team and daddy's and daddy worked almost every game of every day.  On Wednesday-Friday there are 8 games a day so very busy. To help us with this crazy busy week Janet, Amy and the girls came up to help...thank goodness.  They were great and were a huge help!  Sadly we lost on Friday so didn't have anymore games but was fun to have them there. I was quite crabby since we lost and we were better than the team we lost to.  The team that won the National Title we beat three times in the season so was hard to swallow.  The boys enjoyed the games they came to but wanted to get down and run so made it tough to be there very long.

Grandma Janet also cut the boys' hair for the first time, it was getting bad and really needed to be done.  Mom was having a hard time with this I don't know why but I guess another thing showing me they are growing up:(.  Makes me so happy that they are growing up into big boys but so sad that already they are 15 months, where does the time go.

We also put the boys' slides up that they got from grandma and grandpa Bodammer for Christmas, this past Christmas and they loved it.  They went down with help and then once they got a hang of it started going down feet first on their belly's.  They were enjoying it so much that on Sunday it was raining so we moved it inside.
