March for Babies

This past weekend Jared was on the road with Heelan Girls Soccer in Adel, IA and they did great they played three ranked teams and won all three! They have a young team and had only played one game that was called early because they were winning by 10 so hadn't had many games under their belts and also because of weather had barely practice outside.  Then Saturday we had the March for Babies I have done every year since the boys were born.  It is a fundraiser for the MArch for Diems which is an organization for babies born prematurely!  We walk and raise money in hopes that no babies will be born early and all babies will get to leave the hospital with there mom and dad's when it is time to go home.   I had a great turn out and made great money for the organization!  My goal was 50 walkers fro the 50 days the boys spent int he NICU as we fell short from that we had a GREAT group and had a lot of fun.  The weather was absolutely AWESOME!!!

GREAT Turn out...Thank you all 32 including kids and two dogs!

Landon was a bit tired!

Some of our team...we were stopped by a train

Maddie and Taylor our big helpers that pushed the stroller almost the whole 4 miles!

The boys with their board for the walk

Landon holding the sign like a big boy

After the walk Maddie and Taylor wanted to do a lemonade stand for "Team Bodie Boys" and all the proceeds goes to the march for Babies!  It melts my heart how sweet those girls are and they thought on that.  The letter below the wrote for their customers to read...so sweet!  They made $34 (AWESOME) to donate to a great organization!

We are truly blessed to have all of you in our lives and for all that support Team Bodie Boys if it was by walking, donating, or just to be there for me and my family!  Thank you all! LOVE YOU!!

Circus

Tonight we went to the circus and the boys LOVED it!!   From the moment we walked in the door their eyes were glued to the floor and all the action.  The first thing they saw were the miniature ponies and hey just kept saying horses, horses... they didn't want to walk to our seats because they thought they would miss something.  Finally we got to our seats and Jared had to get mini donuts, of course the boys loved those too!  Boys sat on our laps but they did great and were so into what was going on the whole show.  It started at 7 and we didn't leave until about 10 which was long for them but they seemed to enjoy it.
It always amazing me how an elephant can do things like this and move like they do with as much as they way...crazy!

Tristan into the show

We were trying to get Landon to look at the camera but he couldn't take his eyes off the elephants
At intermission we went down to the floor and they loved walking around and seeing the "horses", camels, and elephants up close.  I would say their favorite were the ponies but the next favorite was the motorcycles.

They had 5 motorcycles in a big ball type thing which was crazy they got 5 in there.  Then over the big ball was another motorcycle doing flips off the ramps.  Landon and and I keep saying WOW WOW and laughing every time he did flips!  Overall, was a great experience and boys loved it!

Home again...Wyatt's Birthday Party

This weekend we were home again for family time and Wyatt's sixth birthday!  For his birthday the little kids went bowling and then back to his house for some dinner, gifts, and cake.  I didn't know if we would make bowling because of nap time but boys woke up and we went over to watch the cousins bowl for about an hour in Britt.  The boys actually did bowl a few times and thought it was pretty fun.

Easter...HOME

For Easter we went home I went n Wednesday and Jared and the boys came on Thursday night.  Jared's mom was still helping out so Jared was not all alone so quickly after surgery.  Janet took me half way and my mom and dad picked me up.  A long story short for now...I will explain soon just exhausted about it now.  My mom is not doing very well and my dad says it is time for her to go into a nursing home so I wanted to go home early to spend more time with her.  As of a few days ago dad was going to put her in a home on the Monday(April 1) day after Easter.   It was so nice to be home and just spend time with mom and dad and me!  I feel it has been a long time since doing that and it was really nice.  Then the boys and JAred came Thursday evening and we just hung out some more with grandma and grandpa.  Friday we all went to church which was nice and then went to Johney's for fish fry.  They boys were still not eating that great since surgery but doing pretty good.  Landon was pretty fussy still and Tristan occasionally was.  Their night sleeping was still not that great and took them awhile to wake up after naps and night sleeping.
the boys love to take a bath in grandma's sink...it was messy but heck only water

Landon was doing grandma's hair and grandma was loving it...when I was younger I would do my mom's hair a lot!  She loved to have it brushed...relaxing for her

Landon looks like he is saying, how is that grandma"

Tristan in chair...they fought over who got to rock

Landon being silly as always

They boys LOVE shoes Tristan has Jackson's on and Landon has daddy's. Also notice that Landon has our keys he is really into getting keys and boots or shoes on and saying bye, going to work.

Jackson was bored at Johney's so came home with us and the boys LOVED it!

We celebrated our Easter at the farm on Saturday before Easter, it is always such a great time at home and hanging with family.  The boys loved the cows(after a little while:) and all the animals.  The love moo's but they are pretty big so they were a bit intimidated at first.  The cows were calving (having babies) so that was fun to see lots of little ones too.  The guys shot guns a lot in the afternoon and we watched that for awhile.  The boys absolutely loved jumping on the trampoline with their cousins and dad.
We attempted some family photos....well not too bad but boys wouldn't smile but looked at camera good enough

Landon and Wyatt, the cousins love each other so much, we miss them so much when we are away from them.

Boys Easter basket from Levi and Kristy they wanted to open everything right away!

Sunday we hung out with grandma and grandpa and left late in the day because we stopped by Ludwigs for a little while.  Happy Easter the picture below is what we woke up to.  The boys were up a lot in the night so I didn't wake them up to go to church, the boys and Jared slept, well sort of.  Landon was coughing a lot and woke up and Jared brought into bed and then when he got up it looked like a crime scene in the house.  Landon's scabs had fallen off and he was bleeding.  He stopped bleeding and then again at 6 and 11 that night he started again.  We watched him and made sure it stopped within 3-5 min. and if not had to take him to ER thank goodness that never happened but was a little scary.  Below are the pictures we tried to capture of the boys on Easter Landon in Blue Tristan in green.
