Moo Cow Moo

Yep the boys were cows!  We knew for sure they were going to be an animal of some sort because they LOVE animals.  When we read books and there is a cow on the page they are either saying dow dow (cow cow) or moo moo so we went with a cow this year.  This year they were really into compared to last year which was fun.  I was worried how they would act when seeing some "scary" costumes but they did very well.  We went over to Craighead's for dinner and then headed out on their street.  There are a lot of houses and it is flat so that was nice.  Landon did not want to put his head part to his costume on at first but I got him to by saying if you want to go outside you need to have your hat on.  He forgot about it within minutes of being outside.  We did take the stroller or we would have only made it to two houses because the boys are not the fastest walkers and they are curious.

Tristan very excited about his candy

They were so cute holding hands walking up to houses.

Landon was not real sure what was on Tristan's head and kept looking at it for the first few houses.

Tristan was going to eat his candy with the wrapper on if  no one helped him.  We let them have a sucker each...which was a mess but figured it was Halloween!

Maddie was a big helper and she was so excited to go trick-or-treating with the Bodie Boys, the boys were just as excited! Next year will even be better with them walking the whole time( I would assume).

Pumpkins, pumpkins, pumpkins

After my Mini Mustangs Clinic the boys, Jared and I went over to our friends Campbell's for some pumpkin carving(painting) and chili.  There were a multiple families there some carved because kids were older and some just painted.  I was a little worried as to what the boys would do, I figured they would paint themselves  and eat it...they didn't do too bad.

Tristan was putting stickers on his pumpkin and making a mess but thats fun.

Ryan Campbell helping Landon write his name on his pumpkin, such a big helper!

After that Landon thought he could do the rest himself.

Than it was onto putting stickers on the pumpkin, brother Tristan was in the background doing the same.

Tristan liked to take his stickers off and put back on over and over.
It was nice seeing friends and their kids and catching up with them over some warm chili and cinnamon rolls!

Packed Weekend

We had a great weekend but it was a busy one!  Friday we took off early to head to Omaha to go to Vala's Pumpkin Patch in Gretna, NE(it is the best pumpkin patch I have ever been too, I know there are a lot out there but I have not been to many, this one is HUGE).  Well, they weather was really cold and raining lightly on and off so we just head in anyways to see what it brought when we got there.  Well, in Omaha it wasn't raining but was pretty cold.  We had winter coats, blankets, hats, gloves the whole nine yards.  Once in town we decided it wasn't worth it and that all of us could go on Sunday so we would wait and go Sunday.  So Friday we just hung out let the kids play and then went out to dinner.  Dinner with three kids under age of two is not the most enjoyable but I thought the kids did GREAT!  After dinner we went to a store Garden Ridge which was fun and then back to the house to get the boys to bed as it was already late and we had a busy Saturday.

Tristan and Ella enjoying the horse in grandma and grandpa's back yard

Saturday we went got up and went to Allie and Hannah's swim lessons!  They did great they hardly would get in the lake in Minnesota a year ago and now are jumping of f the sides and swimming like pros.   Then it was off to Braeden's football Championship game, it was a good game, they won in overtime!  Braeden did great and is going to be a good little player.  Next was off to Blair for his soccer game, Braeden did good his team not so well, they have not won a game all year but in football they were undefeated:).  At least he is playing both and has a good attitude about it.  After his game we stopped by Jared's aunt and uncle's house for the rest of the Nebraska game which at the time were down and not playing well but they pulled out a victory!  Next, back to grandma's and grandpa's for dinner and hanging out.  Boys ate and went to bed before we ate as they were tire.

Good job Braeden, his team won Championship!

Sunday was the patch and suppose to be zoo(I'll get to that)!  The Pumpkin patch is a short 15 min. drive south of Omaha and of course were suppose to be there at 9 and we were late but not too bad.  Once there we took lots of pictures so as I post pictures I will comment on them.  All kids big and small had a great time.  Surprisingly we were hot!  I know one day too cold next day too hot! I love this time of year tho!  Love the weather, the decorations, the colors, everything about it.

One of my favorite picture in a long time!!!

All kids loved the train ride, Landon was to busy watching others riding bikes to take a picture

the boys were not to sure of the big pillows (like a trampoline)

Next the boys enjoyed playing follow the leader in the playground area

They love slides

Here are the pumpkins the boys picked out...big huh:)

I am grateful to have Jared's family in my life, they are so good to me to us!  We always have so much fun together but as always it is always too short.  That seems to be the same with everywhere we go everyone we see, never enough time.

Night 1 in BIG boy beds

So I am sure you are all wondering how the first night went, it went GREAT!!  They went down and we barely heard anything from them.  Occasionally the boys will have dreams or wake up crying and have a really big burp.  Last night Landon woke up a couple times but didn't get out of his bed so that is good.  I think he was having a team, we went in there and he settle down.

The boys are liking their beds, they will get in them and play in them together and separate and Tristan loves to get a book (or two or three) and read them.  So far I am ok with moving them into a big boy bed but we hope it stays this way, I have heard of kids doing good for awhile and then never staying in their beds, lets pray that doesn't happen.

Tomorrow we head to Omaha for a FUN packed weekend, Zoo Pumpkin Patch, and nieces and nephews swimming, soccer, and football.  Can't wait!!

Big Boys...too fast

I know if you read my blog you are thinking I always talk about my boys growing up too fast and such but I just really feel it is so true.  So tonight the boys are sleeping in a big boy bed (toddler bed) .  I was hoping that we could hold off a bit longer but with litte mr. monkey himself, Landon we decided it wasn't worth it.  This week a few times Landon was out of his crib.  First time was in the morning I had a 5:30am practice so Jared heard on the monitor someone talking which seemed to be very close to the monitor and muffled.  He went to check on the boys and foudn Landon on top of the dresser.  Now lucky for us the dresser is a long flat one not a tall one but still.  So I thought that was once no big deal, lets hope no more.  Then a couple days later when Jared put the boys down for nap, Landon comes walking out to the living room, so he escaped again.  Then the last straw was he was on top of his dresser just the other morning.  So I told Jared we need to get them in big boy beds so we did.  I am a little nervous about this as they were GREAT sleepers, went down great, slept through the night GREAT, and didn't get up to early.  I just hope this doesn't change...I will keep you posted.  As of now they have been in their beds for 20 min. and they have not been out a have made a peep.  I think the first time they come walking in our room I will be scared, maybe not scared just caught off guard.

Day in Day out

I know I haven't been posting as much lately, but not a whole lot to update you about, even though the boys do and say something new everyday that I "don't want to forget".  I don't have enough time in the day to write or type everything but will try.  I started official basketball practices last Monday a week ago so craziness is about here, or is here.  Jared is still busy with all his sports which is all year long but when basketball is here we have some hectic days but get through them.  With having the boys at an in home daycare we (aka Jared) needs to plan his day a little better especially on his pick up days.  He does pretty good and hasn't been late but starting now he will pick up most days as I will have practice or games in the afternoon/evening.  The boys are doing great at daycare and really enjoying all their "new friends".  We have had a couple incidents that I haven't wrote about yet.  Landon bite two different kids over a months span so not biting every day but nonetheless he bite!  I always said, I hope I don't have the kid that bites.  Well I do...sort of I wouldn't say he is a biter because he rarely does it and every time I caught him he was biting Tristan it was because they were hugging and he got really excited and then would bite him.  He never bite him out of fighting or mad at him always would be loving him up and got over excited.  Well, at daycare the Friday before Labor Landon bite Tristan and Nikki(the sitter), texted me about it.  Well, later that night got another text saying a little girl's mom texted her that she had a bite mark on her back.  I felt AWFUL AWFUL!  I tried to talk to him and cried to Jared how awful I felt.  Nikki said we just have to watch him and stop this as soon as possible.  So that weekend I was home and watched him and nothing some hitting but no attempts at biting and I didn't let him out of my sight much.  Then about a week or two ago Nikki texted me again that he bite a little boy.  Again Nikki did not see it which was hard on both Nikki and I.  I of course cried and wrote another apology letter to the parents and said we are working on it.  However, hard to work on it when he doesn't do it very often.  Everyone I talk to say it is a kid thing and he will out grow it.  I hope very soon.  But then again it is not everyday so hard on Nikki to prevent and such too.  That has really been the only bad thing happening at daycare and mommy having awful quilt.   The hard part is since he is not getting caught at daycare when we find out at night time then we talk to him about it and he just looks at us like, ya I did that but 10 hours ago and then hard to punish him.  Landon (well both boys) are very sweet boys but can just be boys at times but they are so lovable so when this happened I just hate it!
This past weekend and week we didn't do a whole lot just trying to do some projects around the house big and small before my games and recruiting gets here and I am NEVER home.  Between cleaning and projects I don't get much done on my days off.  But I love fall SATURDAYS, I get so much accomplished.  I would like to get other things done like scrapbook and such but once my projects are all caught up maybe, prolly not anytime soon.  But scrapbooking is a project so maybe I could fit that in some Saturday.
This week we have 5:30 am practice which means I am up by 4:30 and out the door by 4:40 and as much as I don't like them, they are sort of nice to have the rest of the day to get stuff done in the office and at home, if I don't squeeze in a nap.  Which most days I don't but some days I am really tired and just say I will nap for 30 min. and next thing I know the boys r waking me up with talking because they are now up 2 hours later:).  Well, the projects and house cleaning will always be there I figure.  Alos, just to note I usually do this stuff while boys are napping or playing but I always find lots of time to play with the boys because I think that is the most important thing.  I can't believe our boys are almost two already.  I was just telling Jared we are always so busy that somedays are a blurr and I don't like it.  So when I am home with boys we play even if the house needs cleaned or projects need done.
Enjoy your week!
