Monkeys, Monkeys and sneaky ones I might add

So some things the boys do mom does not approve of and in fact makes her quite nervous.  They have found the fireplace and love love to play on it so here is a video from that you will notice I am in the shadow in the distance because they make me nervous.  They love to climb over, under and in stuff.

These next photos one morning I was getting dressed and didn't hear them so of course I came out to look at what they were doing.  I couldn't find them so I ran to the kitchen tomake sure basement door was shut, it was.  Next I ran to their room and other bathroom not there.  Next I came back to living room and said Landon...Tristan, where are you (they usaully make some noise)  and finally I hear a whimper it was Landon and he was stuck behind the TV.

The next two photos are of the boys taking clothes out of my drawers and crawling in them, good times!

This past weekend I wanted to get some video of the boys showing off their stuff, every day they get better and better.  The first two are of Landon and the thrid one is of Tristan and last both.  Tristan can go for awhile but must have been tired.

Big steps

Last night the boys set some new records with their walking. Tristan took 17 steps and Landon took 8 all by themselves. They are getting so close to walking all alone and boy do they think they are cool. Before I got home from practice I got a text from Jared saying T just took 11 steps from me to Cassie. Rewind to Wednesday Cassie texted me and said I wanted to call you but didn't know if you would be in your game but T took six steps all by himself. As I was very happy with both of these textes I was sad I missed it. So last night when they did it with mommy there I was so happy.
Last night was a fun night our good friends Craighead's came over to hang and play games oh and have some desserts. So not only did mommy get to see the big walkers so did our friends. Once boys went to bed we started our game night.

Quick update on the T man

We are happy to say that Tristan's eye infection (Cellutitis) is better and does not have to be hospitalized, Monday was scary. The doctor had some scary things that could happen from this type of an infection but thanks to all our prayers he is doing just fine.
Oh and since I'm posting I should tell you mr Tristan took six steps tonight for Ms. Cassie. I hope he does it for mommy in the morning. They both have taken 2-4 steps before. They are growing up so fast.
Thanks again for your prayers. God is great.

Eye

First off yesterday was a big anniversary day for our family. One year ago January 15, 2011 Landon and Tristan got release from the NICU so as their birth is very very important to us January 15 is another big day for our family.
So today back to doctor we go for Tristan's eye, we found out he has an infection. So I will rewind you back to last Thursday. Wednesday I was gone and Jared called me and said I think T has pink eye. So in the morning his eye was red with some gunk in it. Took him to a PA because our doctor was out of town. He thought he had a cold in his left eye so we treated it with drops. Then on Friday his right eye was red so started treating both eyes with the drops. Then on Saturday both eyes looked okay and on Sunday his left eye started looking worse again and it was swollen. So Monday morning when he woke up his left eye was real bad and couldn't open his eye it was swollen shut not with the gunk but just swollen. So we called the doctor and he squeezed us in, he WANTED to see him. And right away he said yep an infection we are going to attack this hard and fast. He thought we caught it early enough but won't know til tomorrow which is hard. Doctor Amir wanted him to get an antibiotic shot and then put him on oral medicine and much stronger ( and more expensive I might add) drops. He said if not better by tomorrow we will have to put him in the hospital. We hope when he wakes up he is better. He also mentioned that this type of infection could lead to meningitis so please keep our little Mr. Tristan in your prayers.

Tough little boys

This past week the boys had a touch of the stomach flu, but you would never know it by looking at them.  They acted almost normal crawling around, laughing, smiling and playing like every day.  They would just have some BAD diapers and Tristan would throw up occasionally.  Landon only threw up once but boy did he have some diapers that made you wonder how a one year old could poop like that.  Mommy was sick in there too but luckily only for about 24 hours. Daddy was sick last weekend but he never threw up, jus tlots from teh other end (TMA huh?).  So lets just hope we got it all out of our system and ready to be healthy for 2012!

Cassie (our nanny, my nephew's girlfriend) is a godsend.  With Jared and I's schedule I am not sure how we would do it without her! I hope she realizes how blessed we are to have her and how much she helps us.  The boys love her too and she is teaching them something every day!  It is nice having a little family around as it is not much a little is better then none.  I just don't want to wear anyone out family or friends.

Last night Morningside (mommy's team) played Briar Cliff (where daddy works) and lost!  boo who!  It stunk Morningside was up at half time by 14 and ended up losing by 13, it was awful.  We came out with absolutely no fire in the second half and when they took the lead we had no fight in us.  I am not sure how that is possible playing cross town rivals.  It is so hard as a coach to just sit there and watch it happen and you can't get out there and do it for them or get out on the court.  So as you can imagine mommy is not in a very good mood today.  Not that we lost (which I hate to LOSE hate it) but that we just didn't play second half at all.  I am not sure how you can go one half and play great (but even could play better) but then put a second half out there that was 100% the opposite of the first half.  BC is number 2 in the nation and Mside is number 5 in the nation, not sure a whole lot will change in the National polls but in conference we were winning it and now we will be tied again for number one.  The worse as a coach is just waiting until the next practice or game to see if we learned from our mistakes.  This team has a lot of talent but for some reason can't play full games against good teams.  We are 11-5 and I can say I believe we are more talented than the teams we have lost to but they out play us in some part of the game if it is a whole half or just a few minuetes.  We hope to look at tapes and work on things and move forward.  On days like last night and today I think to myself it would be nice to have a job that I don't have to take home with me 24/7 but on the other hand I love what I do and working with 18-22 year olds and watching them mature into beautiful ladies inside and out.
Hope all is well with all of you!

Another Christmas...oh how we love family time

Like I have said before Christmas time is one of my favorite holidays and to be honest really has nothing to do with the gifts, even though it is a huge part of it.   The best part is getting together with the family!  This past weekend we headed to the big town of Wesley for the Rosenmeyer Christmas.  Jared had to work Friday night so Brandon (my nephew), Cassie (Brandon's girlfriend) the boys and I headed home right after my game on Friday afternoon.  The boys are great riders on road trips and this was no different we left at 3:30 and Tristan was asleep before we pulled out of the drive way and Landon shortly after.  They slept almost the whole 3 hours home with waking up about 5 min. from Wesley.  When they woke up they were laughing and in great moods.  Man, do I love these boys!!  Friday night we had a surprise 70th Birthday party for my mom.  She was very surprised and very excited for all the people that were there to celebrate with her.  She missed the ones that were not there as did I.  We had  a GREAT time it was so good to see all the family and friends I don't get to see much anymore.  Usually when I come home it is a fun fulled packed weekend trying to squeeze everything in before I have to leave.  It was great just sitting and catching up with sisters and cousin on their lives, our lives, and others.  The boys did great with not leaving there until 11:30ish!
The next day was another big day, it was our Christmas so lunch was at noon, Jared was on his way but unfortunately not feeling well so running late.  We ate then did some gifts, the kids were dying to open their gifts:).  Again we were very blessed to have the families we have and to get the gifts we get.  Later we went to church and then ate and did some more gifts, adults this time.  Since our Christmas was on Dec. 31st we also sang Happy Birthday to mom again and had cake.  We hung out at Steve and Alison's and play "Just Dance" for a while.  That was fun and a workout, I even won a couple times.  It was fun to watch the kids and adults show their moves.
Sunday was real laid back as we just hung out had breakfast and then got on the road about 2.  Jared was still not feeling real good so I drove and the boys slept again.  They didn't sleep the whole 3 hours even tho Tristan was pretty close they did great!
I hope 2012 is as good as 2011, we are so blessed to have what we have in our immediate and extended family.  As our families are not in the same city that we live in (which is a downfall) we always have so much fun when we are together and feel so blessed to have every one of you in our lives!
